Woman hailed a ‘legend’ for explaining how to stop your iPhone camera flipping selfies

Most iPhone users will know how annoying it is when you take a selfie on your camera only to look back and realise it’s been flipped.

Because of this a lot of people tend to use apps like Snapchat and Instagram to take selfies which make your pictures appear as if you were looking in a mirror.

But now thankfully TikTok user @taliamar has revealed how you can solve the problem – and it’s a lot easier than you think.

In the clip, which has been viewed more than 1.3 million times, Talia demonstrated how to stop the camera flipping the image – and viewers have called it “life-changing.”

The YouTuber, who has over 800,000 subscribers, said: “You know how all of us collectively take all of our selfies on Snapchat or on Instagram stories because we all look ugly in the Apple camera because it flips our photos?

“You can turn that feature off.”

Talia does this by going to settings, before scrolling down to the camera.

Once here, look for the ‘mirror front camera’ feature and turn it on – it’s as easy as that.

“It’s off by default – it’s so easy to do and I don’t know how no one talks about this,” she added.

Since being posted, the video has received almost 270,000 likes and 5,800 comments from stunned viewers who were keen to try it out for themselves.

One person said: “WAIT… Oh my God. [On my way] to settings.”

Another added: “Hold up she just solved every world crisis ever.”

“SO glad I found this before summer,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “[You’re] a legend for this.”

But a few viewers were left disappointed when they realised they didn’t have the feature as it’s only available on iOS 14.
